In one day I will be touching down in Havana, Cuba! Despite all my travels, I have not explored this cultural masterpiece 90 miles to the north; but finally, I am seeing platanos in my future, black beans and rice, cigars, sweeping, palatial squares, vintage cars, crystal waters, and according to my friend, fab jewellery shopping.
I have one week to explore, and so I have a few things I definitely want to do: ride a moped, see Viñales Valley and Veradero, dance some Salsa, smoke a fat stogey, buy a mini Cuban house to add to my mother's mini-house collection and score some antique bling. In one week, we'll see what I have to report. Stay tuned......
